VOLUNTEERING

Santa Martha Foundation welcomes volunteers of all nationalities. People who want to get involved with our labor and be a volunteer must follow these steps:

  1. Read the volunteer handbook: AVAILABLE HERE. You must know that document before the start of your application process, in order to understand our rules and be aware of our volunteering program.
  2. Fill out the application form online. You also have to upload a photo, share some personal data and relevant information. Your privacy will be respected all the time and your information WILL NOT BE SHARED with anyone. CLICK HERE TO ACCESS THE ONLINE FORM;

Volunteers can support us on some areas, according their skills:

  • Tutoring: supporting the tutor taking care of children.
  • Workshops: bakery, sewing, computer, farm and cooking.
  • Maintenance.
  • Other areas in which you would like to share your knowledge in.

It's important to know that...

  1. Santa Martha Foundation gives food and accommodation to our volunteers free of charge in our institution. They must share the dorm and dinner room with our children and our workers.
  2. Santa Martha Foundation does not cover transportation or health care costs. Although there is a small medical station that provides consultation and first aid in case of an emergency, at very low cost, pretty near to Santa Martha, we highly recommend you take an international health insurance before you start your trip.
  3. Volunteering must last at least one month.
  4. We can issue a volunteering certification by request of volunteer.
